We currently accept:
EFT (bank transfer) — most popular
PayFast / Yoco — card payments via secure link
SnapScan / Zapper
Full payment is required upfront before we begin making your piece. Once payment is confirmed, we get our hooks out immediately.
Absolutely — and we'd love that! Just let us know what you'd like when you message us on WhatsApp and we'll put together a combined quote. Ordering multiple pieces may also help with bundled delivery costs.
Yes — and it's one of our favourite things to help with. Gift orders are very welcome. Just let us know:
The recipient's delivery address
If you'd like a handwritten gift note
Any special packaging requests
We'll make sure the unboxing feels as special as the piece itself.
We do consider bulk orders for events, corporate gifting, wedding favours, and pop-up stalls — but please reach out well in advance. Lead times for bulk orders are longer and pricing will depend on quantities and complexity.
If you can describe it, we can usually make it. The weirder the brief, the more fun we have.
Lead times vary by piece:
Custom bouquets: 7–14 business days
Custom garments: 14–21 business days
Custom accessories: 5–10 business days
These are estimates and can vary depending on complexity and current order volume. We'll always give you a realistic timeline upfront — we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver.
Yes! We love sharing progress. For most custom orders, we'll send at least one in-progress photo via WhatsApp so you can see it coming to life and flag anything you'd like adjusted before it's complete.
Changes are possible in the early stages — please message us as soon as possible. Once yarn has been sourced and work has begun, changes may not be possible and deposits are generally non-refundable.
That's why we take time upfront to really nail the brief before we start.
Delivery
Yes — we deliver across all of South Africa. Whether you're in Cape Town, Joburg, Durban, or a smaller town, your STCH piece will find you.
We use trusted couriers and will send you a tracking number once your order has been collected.
Once your piece is complete and dispatched:
Major cities (JHB, CPT, DBN, PTA): 2–3 business days
Other areas: 3–5 business days
Remote / outlying areas: up to 7 business days
Please factor in the lead time for making your piece plus delivery time when planning your order — especially for gifts with a specific date.
Delivery costs depend on your location and parcel size. We'll confirm the exact delivery fee when you place your order via WhatsApp.
As a general guide: most standard deliveries within major cities are R80–R150. Outlying areas may be slightly higher.
Depending on your location, local collection may be possible. Please ask when placing your order and we'll let you know if it's an option for you.
This would be devastating to us. We pack every order carefully to prevent damage in transit, but if something does go wrong — please photograph it immediately and send us the photos on WhatsApp.
We'll assess and find the best resolution as quickly as possible. Your piece matters to us even after it leaves our hands.
Yarn & Care
We use premium, carefully selected yarn chosen for softness, colour richness, and durability. The specific yarn varies by piece — bouquets use a different weight and texture to garments — but we never compromise on quality.
If you'd like to know the specific yarn for your piece, just ask when ordering.
To keep your STCH piece looking its best:
Hand wash cold with a gentle detergent
Do not tumble dry — lay flat to dry in shade
Do not wring — gently press out excess water
Store folded, not hung (hanging can stretch the fibres)
Keep away from sharp objects that could snag the yarn
Treat it with love and it'll last you years.
The best thing about crochet bouquets is that they last forever — no watering required! To keep yours looking beautiful:
Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading over time
Dust gently with a soft brush or a low-heat hair dryer on cool setting
Avoid getting them wet — if they do get damp, lay flat and let air dry fully
Store in a box if not on display to maintain shape
Every piece is quality-checked before leaving us, but yarn can occasionally snag or loosen with wear.
Don't pull it! Message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we'll advise on the best fix. In most cases it's a simple repair that we can guide you through, or we may ask you to send it back so we can sort it properly.
Returns & Exchanges
Because every piece is handmade to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. However, if your piece arrives damaged or significantly different from what was agreed — we will always work with you to make it right.
Please review your order details carefully before confirming, and don't hesitate to ask questions first.
For garments, we always encourage you to share your measurements before we begin — this significantly reduces the chance of sizing issues. For ready-to-ship pieces, please check sizing notes carefully.
If a garment doesn't fit due to a sizing error on our end, we'll do our best to adjust or remake it. Custom garments ordered to your measurements are not eligible for size exchanges.
Unfortunately we can't exchange for colour changes on completed pieces. Colour is chosen and confirmed before we begin making — which is why we spend time on that part of the process.
If you're unsure about a colour, ask us first! We're always happy to share yarn swatches or colour photos before you commit.
About STCH
Yes. Every single piece. No machines, no factories, no outsourcing. Every stitch is made by hand, by us, with intention. The handmade-ness is not a selling point — it's the whole point.
This is also why we have lead times and work in limited quantities at any one time.
We're proudly based in South Africa. Every piece is made right here, and we ship to customers across the country.
Sewn To Carry Hope.
It started as a feeling before it became a name. The idea that a handmade thing can hold something invisible but real — care, intention, and the hope that whoever receives it feels it.
Not yet — we're an online-first brand. All orders are placed via WhatsApp and shipped to you directly. We do occasionally pop up at markets and events, so keep an eye on our Instagram @stched.co for announcements.
